Live eSeminar series – water modeling to save water and energy‏

eSeminar Series:

Optimize Water Distribution Systems:
Improving Efficiency by Saving Water and Energy

Utilities are now able both to increase revenues through reduced water loss, and lower their energy costs through optimized pumping schedules using the advanced features and modules of Bentley’s WaterGEMS and HAMMER products. To find out how, please register below.

Optimized design and rehabilitation with Darwin Designer
July 6, at 2:00 pm EDT
Learn how you can improve urban water distribution networks by optimizing design and rehabilitation strategies with minimum capital costs.

Featured products: WaterGEMS/WaterCAD and the Darwin Designer module
Presenter: Mike Rosh, Regional Engineer, Bentley

Reduce transients to limit pipe breakages
August 10, at 2:00 pm EDT
Discover how HAMMER can help you reduce pipe breakages caused by high- or low-pressure transients (water hammer). See how HAMMER helps engineers identify the areas where breakages caused by water hammer are likely to occur and select appropriate surge protection devices to minimize breakage risk.

Featured products: HAMMER
Presenter: Angela Battisti, Regional Engineer, Bentley

Integrated modeling techniques for water loss reduction and hydraulic model calibration
October 19, at 2:00 pm EDT
This eSeminar will present innovative modeling technology and a number of successful case studies that have helped regulated water utilities and government agencies to detect leakage hotspots.

Featured products: WaterGEMS/WaterCAD and its Darwin Calibrator module
Presenter: Dr. Zheng Wu, Applied Research Director – Water, Bentley

Using the Hydraulic Model to Determine Cost-Effective Pipeline Sizes
November 23, at 2:00 pm EST
Hydraulic models can tell us how much energy is required which can be used as part of a present worth analysis to establish cost-effective pipe sizes. This seminar will present a case study where IDModeling analyzed several pipeline sizes for major transmission pipelines being proposed to convey desalinated water in Southern California. This analysis resulted in the selection of pipe sizes that provide the least total cost over the expected life of the facilities.

Featured products: WaterGEMS/WaterCAD
Presenter: Rajan Ray, Technology Director, IDModeling
